Security Overview

Last Updated: 8 March 2026

1. Security Approach

SIQ is a quantitative investing software platform operated by Mycelia Labs. We design broker-linked workflows to preserve user control, maintain auditability, and limit access to the minimum needed for product operation.

Our security posture is built around authenticated access, encrypted transport, least-privilege handling of connected-account state, and explicit user consent for sensitive actions.

In transit: SIQ is designed to use encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections for user traffic and broker-linked service communication.

At rest: Sensitive broker connection state is designed to be stored using encrypted storage and access-controlled infrastructure.

2. Broker Connection Model

SIQ is designed around user-authorized broker connections. Users connect their own brokerage accounts through supported broker authentication flows, including broker-supported OAuth and user-generated API key models, and can disconnect those connections at any time.

SIQ is not a broker or custodian. Connected-broker functionality is intended to support portfolio visibility, user-authorized trading workflows, and reconciliation of portfolio state.

3. Live Trading Controls

For live trading workflows, SIQ is designed so live trades require explicit user approval before execution through a connected brokerage account. Users remain responsible for transactions executed from their accounts.

SIQ presents trading decisions, portfolio actions, approval state, and related workflow state inside the product so users can monitor and manage activity with a clear audit trail.
